Depigmenting mask with Turmeric, or as it is also called: Saffron from India. This reddish-yellow root boasts a myriad of beneficial properties for both health and skin.

The most important chemical constituents of Turmeric are a group of compounds called curcuminoids, which include curcumin, demethoxycurcumin, and bisdemethoxycurcumin. Of these, the most studied is curcumin, which constitutes 3.14% of turmeric powder.
It also contains Niacin (vitamin B3), Ascorbic Acid (vitamin C) and Alpha-linolenic acid, powerful antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and depigmenting.

Most of the chemicals contained in the creams of the cosmetic industry are available naturally on our planet, what they do is, roughly speaking, combine them, dose them, add preservatives and put them in a nice and attractive container.

The doses of the active ingredients that they use are generally quite low with respect to the entire container, either because it is the recommended dose or because they intend to make a more economical product, the rest of what we are applying on our face is a cream, gel or neutral base (vehicle) that is used to give body and “render” the product they are manufacturing.

And why can’t we do the same?

Practically the only thing that we lack (and that in the case of aqueous creams), is to have Potassium Sorbate, responsible for maintaining and extending the life of cosmetics, an ingredient that we can buy for no more than 2 dollars on the Internet, but I do not particularly recommend it, since I advocate 100% natural.

Depigmenting Mask

The depigmenting mask that I share with you today we are going to make it using approximately 20 milliliters of olive oil (the King of oils).

For more convenience, get a dropper bottle from those sold in the pharmacy, between 20ml and 30ml. We are going to take the tip of a spoon of turmeric powder, we are going to put it on it, and with a toothpick we are going to beat and try to dissolve the powder in the oil.

EYE!

Be very careful not to get Turmeric on our clothes as it stains for life, in fact it was used in India as a dye for fabrics.

The turmeric is not going to dissolve in the oil, but the oil is going to extract its compounds, so we are going to let the bottle rest for a few hours until we see all the powder settled at the bottom.

If we want to later, we can pass the oil to another bottle, taking care that the powder of this root does not pass, or simply be careful to take the top part for our application.

This is not because nothing bad happens, but if we also use the powder we will be adding an exfoliating effect to our mask, and it is not what we want to achieve with today’s preparation.

It’s easy!

We are going to put this oil on the skin of our face about 15 minutes before going to shower. If you are wearing makeup, do not remove your makeup! Don’t worry, it will penetrate completely and at the same time it will act as a makeup remover.

We have always been recommended to apply the masks with a perfectly clean face, but later I will tell you in detail why it is not due, for now and for your peace of mind, I only tell you that it is a myth, and that excess cleaning is extremely harmful for our skin. The maximum recommended per day: 2 times.

If after your bath or applying your miscellany water and cleaning your face with the products you usually use, you notice a yellow tone on your skin, get close to the mirror, it is only the dead tissue that is in the uppermost layer and with a simple and super light exfoliation you will eliminate it instantly.

This mask can be used on all skin types, and does not need to be refrigerated either, it remains intact even over the years. It has a powerful anti-wrinkle effect, as well as hydrating and anti-inflammatory, after each application you can say goodbye to dark circles.

Depigmenting Mask
Amazing!

With so many ingredients that we have in our kitchen and within the reach of our economy and we without taking all the benefit we need to rejuvenate our skin and look great.

If you are one of those who love cosmetics do not worry, you are not excluded from the wonderful LSDD Method, you can perfectly combine both or intersperse them to your preference.

I say goodbye to you with a “See you now”, to continue sharing knowledge and experiences for the care of your skin.

I send you a big hug and I wish you a great day! 🙂
