- 619: in the city of Seville (Iberian peninsula), under the reign of Sisebuto, the Second Council of Seville is celebrated, presided over by Saint Isidore of Seville.
- 1494: in the Canary Islands, the Spanish defeat the Guanches and invade the island of Tenerife again.
- 1519: in Henan (China) an earthquake of magnitude 5 on the Richter seismological scale is recorded.
- 1523: from Tenochtitlán (Mexico) the Spanish conqueror Pedro de Alvarado, Hernán Cortés’ lieutenant, leaves; Tlaxcalans soldiers and Indians accompany him to Guatemala.
- 1553: in London (England), under the reign of Queen Mary Bloody Mary of England, Thomas Cranmer (Archbishop of Canterbury) and four others, including Lady Jane Gray, are accused of high treason and sentenced to death.

This claim included one corresponding to damages to a pastry chef from Tacubaya, who will provoke the war that the town will baptize as the War of the Cakes.
- 1841: James Braid sees a demonstration of “animal magnetism,” which leads him to study the subject that he eventually calls “hypnotism.”
- 1850: In Mexico City the first telegraphic transmission of that country takes place, from the National Palace to the Palace of Mining.
